You know that awkward feeling when you are trying to write an “About” page about yourself, but you have no idea how to start? Of course you do.

Well, my name is TJ, and I graduated with a B.A. in English from Brigham Young University (yes, that makes me Mormon. For my LDS related writings please visit my new blog Press Forward Ever). I love writing in all formats, but I especially love creative writing. I have written two novels and several screenplays, and I worked as the lead promotions writer at BYUtv where I wrote for internationally-broadcast shows like Studio C, Orson Scott Card’s Extinct, Random Acts, Story Trek, Relative Race, Tricked, and more. I am currently working on developing a pilot for a TV show and having a novel published. I also love renovating and flipping houses!

And if that isn’t enough information for you on my fascinating life, here is my ever-changing bucket list:

  • Visit all 7 continents (I’m up to 5!)
  • Marry the most perfect woman in the world and raise a family together. (Check out my post about my perfect woman)
  • Watch a TV show I’ve written air on TV!
  • See a book I’ve written on the shelf of my local bookstore
  • Speak at least 4 languages fluently (I already speak English and French. I’m working on Italian)
  • Find a way to spread happiness and hope that will continue after I die

Thanks for being on my blog. I hope you find my eclectic mix of random topics and posts to be interesting and beneficial! Please leave comments and share your thoughts, and don’t forget to follow!

  1. Hi TJ! (I’m Amanda– you commented on one of my posts in the commons for Blogging 101!) I’m just wondering– what four continents have you been to, and what’s the 5th one that you plan on traveling to this summer?

    1. Hi Amanda! Thanks for stopping by! I’ve been to North America, Europe, Africa, and Australia, and I was supposed to be going to Asia this summer but plans got canceled. I guess I better edit that haha.

  2. Hi TJ
I have been nominated in the following challenge – to post my three favorite quotes, one each for three consecutive days.

With each post nominate three bloggers for the challenge.

Recognize the blogger who nominated you.

I have nominated you as one of the first bloggers I would love most to hear from. I hope you don’t mind and hope you have fun with it.

  5. You’re funny and your bucket-list is great. Except, you can spend the rest of your life waiting for the most perfect woman since I’m sure she will be taken by someone more perfect than you are ;-) Did I read that you’re a computer expert? I think that’s what drew me to your page. You actually offered to help people. That’s very admirable. You may not think so, but it is.

  6. Um..a…okay…clears throat…Is this on?….I have nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. If you choose to accept, which I hope you will, you need to follow 4 rules. 1. Thank the blogger who nominated you. 2. List the rules and display the award (Not sure how to display the award? Google Very Inspiring Blogger Award, pick one you like, save it/download it to your computer, upload to WordPress. Place in text or image widget or embed in post or both). 3. Share seven facts about yourself. 4. Nominate (15) other amazing blogs and comment on their blog to let them know you nominated them. Good luck in your blogging endeavors.

I’m starting to think these things are the chain letters of the blogosphere.

    1. thank you very much! and you are right, they are the chain letters of the blogosphere. but I appreciate your nomination nonetheless. :D

  7. Hi TJ,

I’ve also passed on to you The Versatile Blogger Award. You’ll find all the details on the following page of My Creative Cosmos: (Only accessed via the badge among the widgets on the left-hand side – for now anyway.) I’m sure it can piggyback on the other nomination you received, so no extra work required.

I hope you’ll accept it with the grace in which it is given. Who am I kidding? You deserve it.

  8. Hi TJ. Would you mind if I nominated you for the Liebster Award? I think you’re blog is informative, fun, and interesting. I also know you’re interested in helping others, so I like to be able to let more people recognize this as well. Let me know :)

  9. Dream big or go home. You have time on your side. I’m sure you accomplish many great things by the time you’re an old man.
#2 maybe a challenge since there are no perfect people in the world. Your heart will tell you when you find your soul mate.

  10. Creative “About” page. I want to learn and be fluent in 13 languages. Currently trying to learn #6… isn’t learning a new language a great challenge? We have things in common. I, too, want to see my work published and on a shelf. I have a feeling that a friendship between us will deepen our creativity. I look forward to reading more of your posts.
